I only started liking Pizza about a year or so ago, before then I just never seemed to like any I tried so I didn’t eat it…
…But now I like the taste of home made pizza best. I like the way they are easy to make and because we use fresh ingredients, we know they are not all processed and fattened and bad for you. Besides that, they are FUN to make – easy too, and most of all – YUMMY! I hope you give them a try.

wholemeal pita bread – small individual servings – approx 70g per single
tomato paste – approx 1 tsp per single pita bread
* Toppings: The choice is yours, whatever you think will be delicious! We made two pizza’s with the following toppings:
1/4 cup shredded cooked chicken
1/4 cup chopped champagne ham
finely sliced red onion – amount to suit your taste
1/2 – 3/4 cup of grated edam cheese
1/4 cup sliced Kalamata olives
1/4 cup chopped low fat feta
6 cherry tomatoes sliced in half
5 leaves of basil, torn with fingers
freshly ground black pepper
Preheat oven to 170 degrees celcius and spread some baking paper on a flat baking tray.
Spread the tomato paste onto the pita bread – 1 tsp should be enough to cover it, but if you need a little more, use it!
Arrange toppings as desired. * Tip: Please make sure you don’t put too many toppings on or the base will end up not cooking and be a little soggy.
Place in pre-heated oven for 10 minutes.
Cut & enjoy – but be careful coz they are super hot when they first come out, especially if you have tomato on it!!!
